Following on from the award-winning Nikon 350G, the new 1000A S features enhancements including brightness control that makes the target easier to spot even on a dull day
Last year Nikon received wide acclaim for its innovative 350G rangefinder, picking up the Foremost Golf Show Award for Most Innovative Product 2009.
This year Nikon is hoping to impress even further by unveiling its most advanced Laser Rangefinder to date - the new Nikon 1000A S, designed to make viewing the target easier than ever before.
The 1000A S is unique because it features an Active Brightness Control Viewfinder designed to make viewing the target clearly easy in all light conditions.
An orange LED automatically activates in darker situations, such as a grey day or in dusky evening light, and LED brightness is adjusted according to the surroundings.
The Nikon 1000A S also benefits from a Target Priority Switch System that allows the player to choose between two distance measurement modes to either the nearest or furthest point away.
First Target Priority mode displays the range to the nearest target among multiple results obtained with a single measurement - useful when measuring the distance to a pin on a green with woods in the background.
Distant Target Priority mode displays the range to the farthest target among multiple results obtained with a single measurement - helpful if you have objects such as bunkers or other hazards that could interfere with the reading between you and the pin.
Other innovative features of the new Nikon 1000A S include a special 'Golf Mode' button that allows the player to choose to switch on or off the function that gives them an even more precise distance reading that takes into account the slopes on a golf course.
Add to that further enhancements including a larger ocular (18mm) for easy viewing, a wider field of view (7.5 degrees), a longer eye relief design to help golfers who wear glasses and an even greater distance measurement range (from as close in as 10 yards to as far away as 1,000 yards), and you can see why the new Nikon 1000A S is the 'must-have' tool for every golfers' bag!
This exciting new product is not available for sale until July/August 2010.
