Dr. Gary Wadler, chairman of the World Anti-Doping Agency's prohibited list and methods subcommittee, has applauded the PGA Tour's first-year record of zero positive tests.

Wadler has also warned PGA Tour commissioner Tim Finchem to remain vigilant, however.

"No sport is immune from doping," Wadler told the New York Daily News after Finchem had pointed out that the latest results were proof that the PGA Tour does not have a doping problem.

"I don't think you can jump to that conclusion," Wadler said.

"It is what it is. There have been no positives so that's encouraging. Kudos for where they are. Hopefully, they will harmonize with the world doping code and the other golf federations."

Wadler praised the PGA Tour for a "fairly good educational program" that has had "a positive impact."

Finchem said Tuesday that over 1,000 tests have been administered to more than 300 players since the program went into effect last year.

He confirmed that PGA Tour, as is the case with the European Tour, will continue its random testing at tournament sites.
